<p>Learn what’s behind Albertsons Companies’ “Recipe for Change” and how it’s operationalizing its sustainability goals so that they’re not just good for consumers and the planet, but also for the bottom line. Suzanne Long, Albertsons Companies’ Chief Sustainability and Transformation Officer, will present a look behind the scenes at how they developed a roadmap for creating positive change while driving business productivity and performance, and she’ll detail some of the requests they’re making of their manufacturing partners to achieve a successful long-term vision.</p>

Albertsons
Suzanne is the Chief Sustainability and Transformation Officer for Albertsons Companies, the second largest food and drug retailer in the US. Suzanne began her career at Accenture, consulting for Fortune 100 companies before joining Albertsons in 2001. After creating and leading the company’s Lean Six Sigma initiative, she left to lead a retail consulting practice. In 2012 she returned to Albertsons, leading five major acquisition integrations that grew the company from ~200 stores to ~2200 stores. Suzanne became Group Vice President, Strategic Sourcing in 2020, and that same year was asked to lead the company’s ESG strategy. She was named Albertsons Companies’ first Chief Sustainability and Transformation Officer in early 2022. Suzanne graduated from Duke with honors, serves on two non-profit boards, and is a member of the EDGE Advisory Board for Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

Van Pelt is a 30 veteran in the consumer products industry in a variety of roles. Prior to joining NTT DATA he held industry executive positions at IBM and SAP.

Irene Sibaja is the Retail Industry Principal for Treasure Data, a leading enterprise Consumer Data Platform (CDP) provider. Prior to joining Treasure Data, Irene was VP, Sam’s Club Customer Success for NielsenIQ. She brings over 25 years of retail, strategy and operations experience to this role. At her core, Irene is customer obsessed, and she uses this focus to drive innovative ROI solutions across diverse customer centric organizations. She has a BA in English Literature from Rice University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
